a leaflet about a day conference coming up on Tuesday October 6 which should be of interest to anyone involved in, or supportive of, urban mission and ministry.
It is at Coverdale Church, from 10-1pm, includes drinks and lunch and cost is free (though a donation of at least £5 is requested).
Led by Paul Sparks and Ash Barker, the day is part of a national 'New Parish Conference Conversations Tour'. Topics covered will include:
• Discovering the way God is at work in the local in profoundly unseen and under-explored ways around the world.
• Exploring why the church needs to take "place" and "shared life" seri- ously and the profound reasons our context mandates a new parish.
• Learning how to be a church that is fully embedded in the everyday life of the parish (economy, civic, education, environment, etc).
• Offering practical lenses that will help practitioners discern what to do in their context without copying a ten-step plan from experts.
