Social Capital and Cities

 

here's a JRF/Manchester Uni initiative on social
capital & cities ... well worth a read.... 

 

There are lots of ways the concept of social captial can be critiqued, and broken down into categories.   (Bonding, bridging, linking) ... and it is impossible to measure.. But if we are serious about transforming communities together we need to be active in this area.  And social capital cannot be accumulated  without the input of social labour... which no one is going to pay for.  Likewise spiritual capital requires the input of spiritual labour...
